Lower Micklin Touring Park FAQs

FAQs

We’ve covered a list of popular questions below that we often get asked which should hopefully help you during and after the booking process, and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

I

How do I find Lower Micklin Touring Park?

We are located on the B5032 which runs from the village of Denstone to the village of Alton. We are situated about 1.5 miles from Denstone and 0.5 miles from Alton. This road may be shown as either Alton Road, Denstone or Denstone Lane, Alton. The post code is ST14 5DJ. On most SatNavs this will take you to our neighbours property which is called Micklin Farm. We are about 100m east (closer to Denstone). Our drive has clear signage at the bottom with the name LOWER MICKLIN FARM. Please do not drive up if it does not say Lower Micklin Farm at the bottom of the drive.

The entrance to Alton Towers is just two miles by road. Driving is the simplest method. Alton Towers is just two miles and the journey will take approx. 10 minutes depending on traffic. Walking to Alton Towers by public footpath is possible but you will need to consult a map. Walking by road is not recommended.

I

What is there to do while the children are at Alton Towers?

The area is full of more sedate opportunities for people who do not wish to partake in Alton Towers. Footpaths lead from Lower Micklin in all directions allowing circular walks of varying distances and with plentiful tea rooms and pubs to break the journey. We are also only 10 miles from The Peak District and all it offers. Alternatively there are the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne or a day at the races in Uttoxeter. Please look at our Things To Do page for more ideas.

The pitch price is payable by debit or credit card at time of booking and includes two people. Any additional people are paid for on arrival by card.
